Applications
FAI is the A-site cation source for formamidinium-based perovskites. Reacted with lead iodide it forms FAPbI3, whose bandgap of about 1.48 eV sits closer to the single-junction optimum than methylammonium lead iodide at about 1.57 eV, which is why formamidinium-rich compositions dominate current high-efficiency devices.
- FAPbI3 and mixed-cation perovskite absorbers for solar cells, including (FAPbI3)x(MAPbBr3)1-x and triple-cation formulations
- Perovskite light-emitting diodes and photodetectors
- Compositional engineering studies of phase stability, film morphology and crystallization
