Brazed Single-Crystal Cutting Tools

Finished SCD tools on a carbide shank, for ultra-precision and mirror-finish machining.

The cutting edge is synthetic single-crystal diamond, one continuous crystal free of grain boundaries and pores, brazed onto a carbide shank.

Single-crystal diamond tools are the primary tool in ultra-precision machining, reaching very high workpiece accuracy and very low surface roughness, down to a mirror finish.

  • Ultra-high hardness and wear resistance
  • Uniform wear resistance and long service life
  • Extremely low coefficient of friction and cutting resistance
  • Excellent chemical stability and anti-adhesion properties
  • Rigid cemented carbide shank
