Applications
ZnSe is a wide-bandgap II-VI semiconductor prized for infrared transparency from 0.5 to about 20 micrometers. High-purity powder is the feedstock for crystal growth, evaporation of optical coatings, and blue-green emitter research.
- Infrared window and lens fabrication feedstock
- Evaporation source for optical coatings
- II-VI heterostructure and scintillator research
