Applications

Bi2O3 is the standard bismuth source for oxide synthesis: photocatalysts, solid electrolytes, multiferroics and lead-free piezoelectrics all start from it. It is also a glass and ceramic flux and a lead-free radiation-shielding additive.

  • Bismuth-based oxide synthesis (BiVO4, BiFeO3, NBT)
  • Solid oxide electrolyte and sensor research
  • Glass, ceramic and shielding formulations
